The Pursuit of Happiness

I was officially made redundant yesterday, bummer. Another sad statistic for Covid 19.
Taking a staff role for West End was a difficult choice at the time because I had been working quite happily for myself for a many years. However, the opportunity to work for a really interesting company arose (West End Studios, very nice people) and the MD convinced me to take the leap and it was one I don't regret.
For over seven years I was lucky enough to get involved in such wildly varied projects. Some that stick in my mind are the huge projection mapping for the Saudi pavilion at Expo 2015 in Milan and a couple of world firsts including the first 360 degree TV music show for Dock10 and the first hand animated 360 promo for Bernard Matthews. There were many others and it was a great experience all round.
However, change is inevitable and I'm back to freelancing again and I'm incredibly excited about the future and the pursuit of happiness.
This is a throwback pic from 2012 of me and a few crew members from my last freelance gig before becoming staff for the first time ever. GT Academy was an amazing experience, I'm really looking forward to what comes next.
Let the freelancing begin (again).

No ties for you now Mr G. Off you fly and do your own thing again! Best of luck ... and we’ll keep ears peeled and eyes open. X
